Animation design studio PetaPixel has hired an animator to create a plush animal-themed version of their mascot, the furry, furry, furball-like Kool-Aid Koopa.
PetaPink, the pet-themed animation studio founded by animation veteran Jeff Davis, has been working on plush animals since 2015, and they’re hoping to add a new furry Koopalings to their roster in 2018.
The Koopas in the new Koopaliets are described as “an old school Koopaling that has gained the love of its friends.”
They’re based on the popular cartoon characters Donkey Kong and Link from the Donkey Kong series, with a fluffy coat, plush legs, and a fuzzy tail.
The company has also released a new video game called Koop-A-Tron, which features a new Koo-Tart that’s based on a cartoon character from the original game.
The game is available for free download on Steam.
The Peta Pixel team is also working on a pet-inspired video game for mobile phones called PetaTron.
